Entune - Phone ConnectivityMuch like the apps on your mobile phone, Entune™ requires a connection to the internet in order to send a receive data. Conveniently, your smartphone's data plan provides the perfect go-anywhere connectivity you need to connect your Entune™-equipped Toyota to the world. Even though you need a smartphone to use Entune™, you do not need a smartphone to use Bluetooth® hands-free, Bluetooth® audio, or the navigation system (if vehicle is equippped).
Three phone connectivity components are needed to use Entune™:
1. Compatible phones
Entune™ is supported by three phone platforms:
- Apple ®
- Android ®
- Blackberry ®
Android™ and Blackberry wirelessly® connect your phone to the available Entune™- equipped Toyota using Bluetooth®. The iPhone is connected via a USB data cable. Click the link below to see if your phone is compatible.
2. Entune™ app installed on your smartphone
The Entune™ apps & data services are accessed through the Entune™ app, which you will need to download and install on your compatible phone. The Entune™ app is available free of charge from the app stores below:
3. Smartphone data plan from your network provider
Once connected, Entune™ uses your smartphone's data plan to communicate between the vehicle and the Internet to drive the Entune™ apps and data services. This data plan is different from a voice plan, so if you're not sure you have a data plan, please check with your network provider.
